Sis-Ltd
Software and Instrumental Solutions
About
SIS brings together highly qualified specialists, state of the art tools and modern project management to deliver top of the line products and services. One of the main problems with outsourcing, that we saw during the years, while working for other outsourcing providers, is that getting external help often caused a big overhead on the clients side. SIS offers clients flexible team management, architecture design and development operations, keeping client side architects, software operation teams and project managers as much as possible up to date and happy, while minimising the time they have to spend with SIS. Our working motto is to only do that what makes sense at this exact working moment.

What We offer
T&M or Fixed Price contracts
We operate with both time and material and fixed priced contracts. All of the offers come with detailed effort estimations based on a technical concepts, for easier corrections. For T&M we offer quarterly and yearly rates. Please contact us for details.
Architecture
Technical concept first. We have experience with a wide range of enterprise technologies, so we proactively propose solutions to our clients, and find the one, that best suite their case and budget. Before any actual development starts, there is always a document that describes with a couple of diagrams how the solution would work.
When in doubt prove with a POC. None ordinary tasks requier extraordinary solutions, to avoid wasting time and money we do POCs. Results of the POC are provided in a short summary document that list pros and cons and help with the decision.
API First. For service development API definitions are written and discussed with clients up front
Project Management
For each project we do, we assign a project manager from our side, he is responsible for resource availability, traceability and pushing the project to success.
We run Kanban, and give clients access our boards in Jira, so they always know the state and can shift priorities when needed.
When working as a part of a bigger agile team, project manager acts as a people manager for the SIS part of the team, or as a proxy PO, depending on the clients wish.
DevOps
We run our own Gitlab CI, and establish continues delivery to our clients Nexus or Docker image repository, or do direct test and production environment deployments.
Pipelines are runnable in one click, and produce releases without manual work, like building or testing involved.
Major releases come with detailed release notes, on how to run the software.
Minor releases come with a list of Jira tickets, that are related to the version.
Modernising Legacy System
Many years of experience with "classic" enterprise enterprise technologies. Multiple successful projects for pulling legacy "monolith" systems apart and safely moving them to modern platforms. Projects done as a slow evolution process, when the monolith is put apart piece by piece and as a big bang, when the core functionality gets fully reverse engineered + documented and a fully functional replacement is brought into operation.
